Today's Famous artist is Johannes Vermeer, Born in Delft, Netherlands on the 30th October 1632, Died 15th  December 1675
His father was an art dealer and silk weaver who also kept a tavern, and Vermeer probably took over the business after his father's death in 1655. It is thought that his father was an early influence on the young child. 
Vermeer's only mythological subject, is also suggestive of Italy. It is his only painting of figures in a landscape setting.

He painted the Girl Asleep at a Table, in which he used the warm range of color

marked the shift between Vermeer's early and mature works in that pointillé (gleaming highlights of thick layers of paint, which brightens the surface) appeared for the first time.

Robert Freeman ( photographer ) Robert Freeman (5 December 1936 – 6 or 7 November 2019) was an English  photographer,  and graphics designer, best known for his work with The  Beatles. Shooting some of the band's most recognizable images featured on several of their album covers.  From 1963 to 1966, he worked extensively with the group and did the photography and design on five of their album sleeves released.    Freeman designed the end credit sequences for their first two films and some of the graphics and photography displayed on the films' posters and promotional materials. Today's  artist Melinda Jane Bordelon  (March 6, 1949 – November 18, 1995) was an American  painter  and  illustrator  whose professional work adorns  magazine  covers, articles, and  advertisements —as well as  album covers ,  book covers , and  video game packaging —produced from the early 1970s through the 1990s. Reg Mombassa:   born in New Zealand in 1951, immigrated to Australia with his family in 1969. Attended the National Art School, Sydney 1969-70. Returned to art school in 1975 and obtained his diploma of painting in 1977. Formed rock band Mental as Anything in 1976 with four other art students. They became a popular band and have released 11 albums and 27 singles, with 20 entering the top forty. They have toured in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England, Europe, the United States and Asia.His first painting exhibition was held at Watters Gallery, Sydney in 1975. He has had one man shows at Watter’s in 1986, 91, 93, 95, 98, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007. 

A survey show of Reg’s artwork spanning the last thirty years or so opened at the S.H. Ervin in January 2007. The show was opened by the actor Jack Thompson. He has worked closely with Mambo Graphics since 1986 designing t-shirts and posters.
