Artist featured today is Sonia Delaunay was Ukraine-born French artist on the 14th of November died December 5th, 1979. Worked in Paris most of her life with her husband Robert Delaunay. The Orphism art movement was Co-founded by Sonia and other members noted for its use of strong colors and geometric shapes. Sonia's expert field traveled int various mediums example, painting, textiles, and stage sets. Hats off to Sonia Delaunay she was the first female artist to have an analytical exhibition at the Louvre in 1964, again in 1975.
Her work in modern design included the concepts of geometric abstraction, the integration of furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, and clothing. Her work alongside other artists is one of my favorites.
This is my absolute favorite pieces that she has done so colorful and abstract, wonderful
This is one of Robert Delaunay paintings a different style to his wives art. This is what I love about art, everyone has a lot to offer and everyone is different. You can see some of Sonia's work bleeding through but his style is so much different than her.
