Sunday, love to watch the ABC as their is sometimes great artist. Today I think the show was call The Mix but don't quote me on that as I was doing some house work.
The artist they featured was, Robert Ingpen I must say a perfect last name for him. In l986 Robert Ingpen became the only Australian to be awarded the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Medal for illustration. It was with his book, 'Encyclopaedia of Things That Never Were'. This award, sometimes known as the `Little Nobel Prize'is the highest recognition given to an illustrator or author of children`s books. In l989 this was followed by the Australian Dromkeen medal for his contributiontochildren`s literature.
