I pinched this photo from the net when l look at it, it is me and many other artist. l empathize with this gentleman as l know his frustration when you don't have a problem with the painting, the problem lies in what will l paint next. If you have out side influences this makes it worse because it then become annoyingly confusing. and almost intrusive in you thoughts and ideas. This is where l am at. l thought moving to the beach would be great but just as l moved l got told that l may have a apartment through community housing and all thou it is fantastic. it has been intrusive to my plans to paint. So the other day, l said to myself "look at it as a holiday at the beach and in a month you are going home". so l did that and now l will show you my first painting. l here you say hooray for that, l know l am saying exactly the same thing. l have done 2 actually but the second one, not happy Jan. Hi to all The first major Exhibition was when I completed my Diploma of Visual arts at Swinburne University. The hardest thing l found in the whole process was coming up with a theme. Eventually I started with jelly fish then it moved from there to sea creatures. Finally then I knew what direction I was heading in, what would happen if there was a hiccup in evolution and we humans crossed with sea creatures. Once I had the theme the rest followed, we each had to do 4 paintings in acrylic and 4 drawings in soft pastel which I completed along with a 9 ft long drawing. Believe me l had no finger tips left by the time I finalized those drawing. Have a great day

What is art? Art is making a mark either with paint, pencils, charcoal, mixed media, there are no rules. What makes good art? l think art is in the eye of the beholder, there is no good art nor is there bad art it is what you like as an individual. How ever l like my art to have a bit of depth and colour but its not all ways that simple, as l like very minimal art as well. So you see there is no right or wrong answer here, l like what l like at the time. Even my mood dictates what l like on any given day. My art changes with my mood , my subject, and my thoughts. How l approach my theme or subject, will change if my mind is wandering on that day it will change again, this is why we artists say we put our heart and soul to paper. Some times we have major problems letting go of our art, we keep hanging on to some, its like a soul mate, a spiritual thing, we are connected. So some we sell, some we paint over, and some stay for ever. l have kept so many l am running out of s

Hi Wonderful People, Hope we are having a great Saturday, so far, had to search through a lot of usb's to find the next lot of images of my art work. These photos you are about to see, was my Graduation Exhibition at Charles Sturt University. 2010, Bachelor in Fine Arts. Still have 1 year to go to complete my arts history but needed a break from it all. l needed to paint not study for a while.
