Todays featured artist is Barbara Hepworth born in Wakefield on the 10th of January 1903. Barbara trained at the Leeds Scool Of Art from 1920-1921. On a scholarship, at The Royal College of Art1921-1924. Barbara also was runner-up to John Skeaping but went to Florence on a West Riding Travel Scholarship.  After visiting Rome and Siena with Skeaping, they were married in Florence on 13 May 1925 and moved to Rome, where both began carving stone. Artist featured today is Sonia Delaunay was Ukraine-born French artist on the 14th of November died December 5th, 1979. Worked in Paris most of her life with her husband Robert Delaunay. The Orphism art movement was Co-founded by Sonia and other members noted for its use of strong colors and geometric shapes. Sonia's expert field traveled int various mediums example, painting, textiles, and stage sets. Hats off to Sonia Delaunay she was the first female artist to have an analytical exhibition at the Louvre in 1964, again in 1975. Her work in modern design included the concepts of geometric abstraction, the integration of furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, and clothing. Today we are looking at one of my favourite artists from my favourite era. I am talking about the roaring 20's where the music was fantastic the clothes to die for and the art. T he Jazz Age,  flappers,   We had cubism art deco pieces of furniture and the way they advertised example Bauhs and prohibition. So lets get to the chase the painter is Tamara de Lempicka, s he was born Maria Gorska of well-to-do parents in turn-of- the-century Poland. After her mother and father divorced, her wealthy grandmother spoiled her with clothes and travel.   By age 14 she was attending school in Lausanne, Switzerland.  Tamara vacationed in St. Petersburg with her Aunt Stephanie, whose millionaire banker husband had their home decorated by the famous French firm Maison Jansen.  All this high living gave the young girl an idea of how she wanted to live and what her future should be.  She fell in love with the most handsome bachelor in Warsaw, a lawyer named Taduesz Lempicki.  She set her sights o
